Abstract

The invention relates to electronic equipment, a method, a medium and a device for managing extension nodes. Specifically, disclosed is an electronic device for managing a gateway, comprising: a processor; and a computer readable storage medium. The computer readable storage medium contains executable instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the electronic device to: determine whether a current time falls within a specified sleep time interval; in response to determining that the current time falls into the specified sleep time interval, determining whether a first extension node in the one or more extension nodes is in an idle connection state, the idle connection state comprising: the first extension node is not connected to any client, or the first extension node is only connected to a sleep client; and sending a sleep command to the first extension node based at least in part on the first extension node being in the idle connection state, the sleep command instructing the first extension node to power off a wireless network interface of the first extension node.
