Abstract

The invention relates to a safe / quick locking / unlocking tool for an engine torsion damper. A tool for locking / unlocking a torsion damper screw to / from a crankshaft of an engine includes an elongate tool body having a first end and a second end. The first end of the tool body includes a pair of engagement pins sized and spaced apart to engage a pair of holes in the torsional damper. The second end of the tool body includes a bore for receiving a fastener for engaging the second end to a mounting location on the engine. The spacer element can be utilized to mount the second end of the tool body to an engine mounting location.
