Embodiment Construction

[0011] The vane vacuum pump 10 shown in FIG. 1 has an uncovered pump housing 11 with an interior space 12 in which a drivable rotor 13 is arranged eccentrically. A slot 14 is designed for the rotor 13 transversely to the longitudinal movement (device) of the plastic blade 15 . The vanes 15 can engage in a sliding and sealing manner on the housing inner wall 16 , on the front wall 17 and on the cover plate of the pump housing 11 (not shown). In addition, the pump housing 11 shows a suction line 18 with an opening 19 from the housing into the interior 12 and a (discharging) outlet 20 at the front. Suction line 18 is to be connected with a vacuum brake booster on the automobile braking device that is not shown. The function of the vane vacuum pump 10 is well known and need not be described in detail here.

[0012] The blade 15 of sheet shape is made of plastics. The blade body 21 shown in FIG. 2 is made of thermosetting plastic. It is die-cast or molded from a glass-fibre-rei...

Abstract

The invention relates to a vane-cell vacuum pump (10) comprising a rotor (13) in which a plastic vane is longitudinally guided. At least a terminal section (22, 23) of said vane acts upon the jacket-end inner wall (16) of a pump housing (11). The body (21) of the vane (15) consists of a duroplastic material and is joined with the terminal section (22, 23) produced from thermoplastic material by injection molding. The material of the body (21) provides for high mechanical stability while the material of the terminal section (22, 23) provides for high wear resistance and a low coefficient of friction. The vane-cell vacuum pump is used in motor vehicles in combination with a vacuum brake booster.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a plastic vane for a vane vacuum pump. Background technique [0002] DE-GM 75 03 397 describes an impeller compressor with plastic foils or blades. The part of the blade installed on the rotor of the impeller compressor is made of relatively low-quality raw material, while the end of the blade arranged on the inner wall of the compressor casing is made of high wear-resistant material. The blades of each part are made separately and connected together by bonding and riveting. Alternatively, the two ends of the blade can be pressed together during the production process. A disadvantage of multi-part blades is that the errors of the individual parts on the blade add up. It is very unfavorable if make the two ends of blade with high wear-resisting material by this method. The lamellas or vanes thus produced are inserted into the rotor and their ends are hermetically snapped onto the casing, as shown for example in US 38 77 851 ...
