Artemisia annua oil was used as a natural product, and it was compared with dicyandiamide (DCD) as a standard reference. Urea (46% nitrogen) was coated with Artemisia annua oil and DCD, respectively, with castor oil (Ricinas communis) as immobilizing material. For this, a first coating of urea particles was produced by physically mixing castor oil (1%) with urea, followed by mixing with urea at 0.50% and 1.00% (by weight) with this natural product and DCD.
