A composition is provided that includes particulates from wood, chaff, hulls, crop compost, biochar, or waste residue, wood or crop ash and biochar, and a nitrogen source from waste residue from gasification processes, food processing waste water or other residual by-products of forest, aquatic, food or feed processing. Ideally, all of the components are environmentally friendly, from natural products, and free of manufactured chemicals.

The present invention described a polymer coated fertilizer, such as urea, subsequently coated with a layer of sulfur and thereafter a further coating of polymer. Preferably, the polymer coatings are formed by the direct in situ co-polymerization of the components of the polymer on the fertilizer and on the sulfur coating. In addition, a medicament prepared by using sodium alginate oligosaccharide as the main coated material composition is safe and nontoxic and has advantages of low cost, small application amount and the like.

A granular agrochemical composition is disclosed including a granular core material having a water soluble portion with a first coating layer applied on the surface of the core material and a second coating layer applied on the surface of the first coating layer. The first coating layer includes a wax composition having a biologically active ingredient incorporated therein and the second coating layer includes a polymeric composition. The polyurethane coating encapsulates fertilizer particles, forming a hydrophobic coating for slow-release qualities. The urethane polymer coating is formulated with an isocyanate and a combined fluid of a polyether polyol, a methyl ester derivative of plant or vegetable oil, a T-12 curing catalyst, barium sulfate, and an oil-based dye.
