Problems solved by technology

But even in this case, since the hygroscopic core itself cannot be bent, it is difficult for the hygroscopic core to be closely attached to the crotch, and a gap occurs between the hygroscopic core and the crotch.
As a result, a large amount of excretory fluid flows out laterally, and the closing body that prevents lateral leakage cannot fundamentally prevent leakage.

[0013] Fig. 1 is a perspective view including a partial section of the absorbent article of the present invention; Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the absorbent article of the present invention; Fig. 3 is an explanatory view showing a curved state of a surface structure. Hereinafter, the X direction refers to the lateral direction (width direction) of the hygroscopic article, and the Y direction refers to the longitudinal direction (vertical direction) of the hygroscopic article.

[0014] In the hygroscopic article 1, as shown in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 , a back sheet (buckshit) 3 is overlaid on the back side of the absorbent core 2, and a surface structure 4 is overlaid on the front side which is the liquid receiving side. The surface structure 4 has a surface layer 5 and a supporting layer 6, and in the peripheral region A where the hygroscopic core 2 does not exist, the surface layer 5, the supporting layer 6 and the aforementioned back layer 3 are bonded with an adhesive such as a ...

Abstract

There is disclosed an absorbent article including: a surface structure having a liquid-permeable surface sheet located on a liquid-receiving side; a back sheet; and an absorbent core sandwiched between the surface structure and the back sheet. In an area including at least a centerline extending in a longitudinal direction of the absorbent article, the surface sheet is corrugated to form recesses and ridges extending in the longitudinal direction and alternating with each other in a transverse direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. The ridges are given an elastically shrinking function in the longitudinal direction at least at their crests or vicinities thereof so that the surface structure is formed into a curved shape. The surface structure thus curved can fit the shape of a crotch. Therefore, the liquid is hard to flow in the transverse direction to prevent the leakage.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to hygroscopic articles such as disposable diapers, pads for urinary incontinence (patients), and sanitary napkins, and more particularly to hygroscopic articles having a surface structure having excellent adhesion to the body. Background technique [0002] Existing hygroscopic articles such as disposable diapers, incontinence pads, and sanitary napkins generally have a liquid-permeable top sheet facing the liquid-receiving side, a liquid-impermeable back sheet located on the outside, and sandwiched between the above-mentioned A hygroscopic core composed of pulp and super absorbent polymers between the two layers. [0003] Among these hygroscopic articles, many studies have been conducted on structures that can adhere well to the urinal or its surroundings when touching the crotch portion, and prevent excretions such as urine and menstrual blood from leaking horizontally. For example, it is practical to arrange a relative...
