Embodiment Construction

[0030] FIG. 1 shows a needle pack 1 which contains at least one, preferably a plurality of needle pockets 2 and cassettes 3 . The box 3 shown with its lower part in FIG. 1 is, for example, a plastic box which is open at the top and has a circumferential engagement groove 4 for receiving a box lid. Its inner space has a rectangular outline corresponding to the rectangular outline of the needle pocket 2 .

[0031] The needle pocket 2 is shown separately in FIG. 2 . The needle pockets are used to pack knitting machine needles 5 , wherein each needle pocket 2 contains a so-called needle handle 6 . In this case, the handle can be understood as a set of knitting machine needles 5 of a predetermined number (for example, 50). The knitting machine needles 5 have flat sides with which they rest against each other. At this moment, the knitting machine is lined up side by side with the knitting needles 5 as a whole. As can be seen from FIG. 3, these needles have an elongated needle sh...

Abstract

The needle pack includes a needle pocket (2) of paper or flexible plastic to take needle grips (6). It consists of a strip of the material with one end folded over the needle shafts and connected to the center section at the edges, on which the needle grip lies. The connection is made flat between the pocket sector (15) and the center sector. The strip connecting points hold the needles close together.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to packaging of long flat elements such as knitting needles for knitting machines. Background technique [0002] Knitting machine needles are generally sold in larger quantities. For this purpose, a number of such needles assembled in groups—this is referred to as “griffs” or “needle grips” (nadelgriffs)—are packaged together. In this case, a handful of needles is involved to some extent, as the fitter may need to do repeatedly, to equip the needle holders with needles. Such needles have hitherto been sold, for example, in paper bags which have been manufactured beforehand and filled with needles after the needles have been manufactured and then sealed. For specific applications and thus to keep the needles from falling out of the bag, they are first bundled with rubber bands and then packed into the bag in bundles. [0003] This packaging method is more expensive. Furthermore, it is not possible to completely prevent the need...
