Embodiment Construction

[0015] In Figures 1 and 2, a spade-shaped digging tool has a head 1, a shaft 2, a handle 3 and a handle 4, the handle 3 having a socket 5 adapted to insert the shaft.

[0016] Especially as shown in FIG. 2, the shank 3 is at an angle to the axis of the shank and is inclined to the same side as the working surface 6 of the tool head 1, so that if the excavating tool is used in a horizontal direction or placed on a When on the ground, the handle 4 will leave the ground, and when the handle 4 is grasped by hand, the hands or knuckles will not touch the ground, thereby bringing convenience to the operation.

[0017] In order to help reduce the possibility of repeated stress injuries caused by repeatedly inserting the excavating tool into the ground, a buffer mechanism is provided in or on the socket 5 . As shown in Figure 3, the socket 5 of the handle 3 is fixed on the sliding pin 8 by the rivet 7; the sliding pin is slidingly fitted with the hole on the compressible block 9 and e...

Abstract

The invention relates to digging tools such as spades, forks and the like. Repeated use of such tools on hard ground can cause repetitive strain injury. The tool has a construction comprising as part of a shaft and a handle a sector therebetween to allow a limited linear movement of the handgrip towards the end of the shaft to which the handle is attached, and hence towards a head at the opposite end of the shaft, said sector being able to resist arcuate flexing as between the handgrip and the shaft and hence between the handgrip and the head at the opposite end of the shaft. The linear movement is permitted due to the use of a compressible block between handle and shaft.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a digging implement such as a shovel, shovel, fork or the like. Background technique [0002] Digging tools have a wide range of applications in do-it-yourself gardening, and professional or craftsmen have used such tools in their daily work for a long time. The user is likely to encounter a variety of ground conditions and will often work on hard or dense rocky ground, which makes excavation work particularly difficult, requiring the use of considerable force to insert the excavating tool into the ground. [0003] Such extensive repeated use of digging tools has the potential to cause so-called "repetitive stress injuries" and, in particular, impacts that may injure the user's arms. Contents of the invention [0004] It is an object of the present invention to provide a pick tool, particularly of the type described above, which helps to reduce the likelihood of causing repetitive stress injuries. [0005] In accord...
