[0017] A rapier conveyor 10, shown in FIG. The shed 13 is formed by lifting warp threads 14 , 15 . Once the rapier conveyor 10 has received the weft thread, the weft thread is separated by the fabric 16 . After the weft yarn 11 is sent into the shed 13, it is beaten on the edge of the fabric 16. Typically, the rapier conveyor 10 feeds the weft yarn all the way approximately to the center of the shed 13 . There, the weft thread 11 is picked up by a rapier receiver (not shown in the figure) and brought to the opposite side. The rapier conveyor 10 is fastened to a rapier belt 17 which is pushed together with the rapier conveyor 10 into the shed 13 by means of a drive (not shown) and pulled out of the shed.
