Abstract

A start system and method for the diskless workstation which includes the virtual C disk in memory and the WINDOWS directory in said C disk are disclosed. Its server includes 4 directories: application, exchange, system and shared. Its start method includes using RAMDISK to set up the virtual C disk in memory, using RAR to decompress the WINDOWS directory in SYS volume (6) of server, transmitting it to said virtual C disk and logging the diskless workstation into the WINDOWS directory on virtual C disk.
