The invention relates to a method of code modulation for attaining the physical channel resource, which first enlarging the index number of code modulation type; and directly setting the projection relationship between the code modulation type index number and all code modulation types in the terminal and the base station; then the base station checks the code modulation index number relative to present used code modulation type according to said projection relationship; transmitting the code modulation type index number via the chain circuit projection information to the terminal and deleting the TLV code modulation type projection relationship information of channel description mark information; the terminal attains the code modulation type index number from received chain circuit projection information and checks the code modulation type relative to the code modulation type index number according to the stored projection relationship. The invention also discloses another method of code modulation for attaining the physical channel resource. The invention can save the consumption of channel description mark information when attaining the burst code modulation type.
