Embodiment Construction

[0020] FIG. 1 schematically shows a computed tomography apparatus 1 for the purpose of explaining the system according to the present invention, which includes a control and calculation unit 9 connected to a network 14. The CT apparatus 1 has at least one X-ray tube 2 and a detector 3 for scanning a patient 7 located on a patient couch 6 movable in the direction of the system axis 4. Through the circular movement of the X-ray tube 2 and the simultaneous movement of the patient 7 in the longitudinal direction, the patient 7 is scanned in a spiral shape. The control and calculation unit 9 controls the CT device 1 through the control and data wire 10, and here also transmits the detector output data of the detector 3 to the control and calculation unit 9 via the wire 10. For performing a heart scan, information about the heart activity, in particular about the current phase of the heart cycle related to the detector output data, is also required. This information can be obtained, for...

Abstract

A system is disclosed for generating, evaluating and distributing computer-tomographical 4D representations of the heart of a patient. The system includes a cardio CT appliance, where a first low-resolution reconstruction of cardio recordings in a multiplicity of cycle phases of the cardiac cycle and subsequent volume rendering of these cardio recordings for 3D representation and examination of the clarity of motion of the representation in the individual cycle phases are performed. This representation is used to select one or two cycle phases with a relatively reduced or even minimal lack of clarity of motion. High-resolution representations of the heart are reconstructed for these selected one or two cycle phases, with the computation and control unit transmitting only the high-resolution representations of the selected cycle phases with a relatively reduced lack of clarity of motion to the at least one workstation as still images, and the workstation being used to perform the evaluation.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a system for generating, analyzing and distributing a 4D computer tomography display of a patient's heart, which has a CT device. The CT device has at least one radiation source that moves around the patient on a spiral track, at least one detector that detects the absorption of the radiation emitted by the radiation source, and a control and calculation unit that controls the CT device and reproduces the heart 4D computed tomography display of movement, and at least one separate workstation, which is connected to the control and computing unit via a network. Background technique [0002] Such systems are generally known, in which, currently, after data acquisition, the radiographic cardiac CT images are first directly reproduced with maximum resolution for all cardiac stages and then transmitted to a separate workstation for continued diagnosis. In this multi-stage reconstruction, it is usually necessary to reproduce about ...
