[0015]The present invention relates to a smokeless tobacco product in the form of a dissolvable vehicle comprising a water-soluble polymer matrix containing concentrated tobacco extract. The polymer matrix is made from any type of water-soluble polymer, including both synthetic and naturally occurring polymeric substances. The matrix is formulated to optimize the leaching process of the various flavour substances found in tobacco extracts. In one embodiment of the invention, the dissolvable vehicle is a body with significant extensions in all three dimensions, such that the dissolvable vehicle at the start of the dissolution process creates a three-dimensional feeling in a user's mouth.
