Benefits of technology

The present invention provides a dual layer golf club grip that solves problems faced by golfers by improving flexibility and shock absorption. The inner layer is less flexible but more rigid for easy assembly with a golf club, while the outer layer is more flexible for users and provides better shock absorption. The marking area on the inner layer grip is protected from users' direct contact and can be preserved permanently with a delicate look.

Problems solved by technology

When the grip is held by a user to hit a golf ball with the club, the shock produced by swinging the club has a negative effect on an action to hit the ball.
Furthermore, because plastic expands under high temperatures, the golf grip is expanded to a fixed shape by the club outer circumference, so that the tight contact between the club and the grip is adversely affected, and the grip can easily get loose or fall off because of the problem with the combination between the club and the grip.
Further, the grip is usually formed with a pattern on it in one piece, the pattern exposed on an exterior surface of the grip will be worn out or will have a faded color after it has been gripped for a long period.
Thus the speciously deigned exterior has become a defect instead.

Embodiment Construction

[0018]A dual layer golf club grip according to the preferred teachings of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 1 through 3 of the drawings and generally includes an inner layer grip 10 and an outer layer grip 20. The inner layer grip 10 is made of flexible plastic or rubber, and thermoset rubber is an ideal material. An accommodating space 12 is defined in the inner layer grip 10 for receiving an end of a golf club (not shown). In a preferred form, at least one marking area 11 is disposed on an outer surface of the inner layer grip 10 and has a single color or various colors. The marking area 11 can be in the form of patterns, graphics, lines, letters, or characters for the purposes of specious design and marking. The marking area 11 can be formed when the inner layer grip 10 is manufactured, or can be formed by processing after the inner layer grip 10 is manufactured.

[0019]In this embodiment, the outer layer grip 20 is made of flexible plastic or rubber, and is adhered on the ou...

Abstract

The present invention relates to a dual layer golf club grip including an inner layer grip and an outer layer grip adhered on an outer surface of the inner layer grip. The inner and outer layer grips of the dual layer golf club grip are respectively composed of plastic or rubber with different properties, and the outer layer grip is transparent. The dual layer golf club grip has a practical efficiency and is also speciously designed.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION[0001]1. Field of the Invention[0002]The present invention relates to a dual layer golf club grip and, more particularly, to a golf club grip structure with a practical efficiency while being also speciously designed.[0003]2. Description of the Related Art[0004]As golf becoming more popular and the continuous research and development on techniques for golf equipment, users are demanding diversified and better quality golf equipment. A golf grip is a medium for gripping a golf club for playing golf. When a grip is held by a user, besides the comfort of gripping, an ideal grip can also enhance the effects.[0005]Common golf club grips are made of plastic with a single layer. A golf grip is pressed against by a golf club after the club is inserted into the grip, the elasticity of the grip is reduced because of the over-tight contact between the club and the grip, thus its buffer effect against shock is also reduced. When the grip is held by a user to hit a gol...
