Problems solved by technology

[0008] If conventional press-fit pins are used in a single conductive via with a via diameter determined by the IEC standard, then the clamping force for individual vias with a maximum via diameter of 0.8 mm is insufficient, with a minimum via diameter of The press-fit part of each through hole of 0.65mm will be greatly deformed, causing stress concentration and increasing the required insertion force

Embodiment Construction

[0028] The present invention can be implemented in different ways, which have been shown in the drawings and will be described in detail here. The specific embodiments disclosed here are only typical examples for understanding the principles of the present invention, and the present invention is not limited to the specific embodiments shown and described here. . Below, will see Figure 1 to Figure 8 An embodiment of the present invention is described.

[0029] A thin metal plate (not shown) is punched and molded with a die and punch to produce the press-fit pins 1 shown in these drawings. More specifically, a plurality of press-fit pins 1 are manufactured to be arranged in parallel on one side of the material tape 2 at a given interval, and a connecting piece 3 is provided between the press-fit pins, such as figure 1 with 2 Shown.

[0030] The press-fit pin 1 has a structure in which the first lead 5 extends straight from one side of the rectangular base portion 4; and the second ...

Abstract

A press fit pin of the present invention has a press-fitted region to be press-fitted and connected to a conductive through hole of a printed circuit board or other circuit substrate. The press-fitted region is fonned into substantially an M-shape in cross-section, which has two beam-like regions extending substantially in parallel, and a connection region connecting the beam-like regions in a deformable manner. The connection region is formed into such an arcuate shape in cross-section that an upper surface corresponding to a valley side of the M-shape is a concave surface and an opposite lower surface is a convex surface. A part of the upper surface is partially located on the lower surface side with respect to a straight line L connecting left and right inner side continuous portions where the lower surface of the connection region and inner surfaces of the two beam-like regions are continuous to each other.

Description

Technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a press-fit pin with a press-fit area to be pressed into a conductive through hole of a printed circuit board or other circuit substrate. Background technique [0002] Existing press-fit pins have press-fit areas to be press-fitted and connected to conductive through holes in the printed circuit board, and press-fit pins with press-fit areas are basically connected through deformable connection areas Multiple beam zones in parallel. [0003] This press-fitting pin is designed such that when the press-fitting area is pressed into the conductive through hole, the outer corner portion of the outer surface of the beam area comes into contact (press contact) with the inner wall of the conductive through hole, and the connection area is deformed. A typical example of such a press-fit stitch is that the cross-sectional shape of the press-fit area is M-shaped by the beam area and the connecting area (see Japanese Patent Publication ...
