Such sticky notes may be of the kind disclosed in US Pat. No. 5,094,283. It includes a roll of paper tape having a strip of low tack pressure sensitive adhesive extending longitudinally along the centerline of the paper strip. Abstract

A dispenser (10) for dispensing a repositionable adhesive note paper (22) from a roll (24) includes a housing (12) defining an interior and a discharge opening (18). A drive system (20) of the dispenser (10) includes a roller (26) rotatably mounted within the housing interior and a motor (42) (see 4) engaging the roller (26) to rotate the roller (26) with respect to the housing (12) about a central axis of the roller. A pressure member (48) is located within the housing (12) and is preferably movable with between an engaged position where it urges the paper (22) into contact with the roller (26) and a disengaged position where it is separated from the roller (26) to permit loading of paper (22).
