Abstract

The invention provides a droplet separator composed of a flow passage for a flow of a droplet-carrying gas in a main flow direction; a vortex generation apparatus in the central flow passage for setting the droplet-carrying gas into a rotary movement whereby droplets in the droplet-carrying gas are directed at the direction of entering into a separator element. The separator element is approximately annular along the flow passage and a plurality of openings are set on the surface of inside sleeve with the approximately same diameter with the said passage and used for setting the droplet-carrying gas into the separator element. The separator element at least extends exceeding a part of the length of the flow passage and further includes a plurality of grid-like structures. The vortex generation apparatus in the central flow passage and comprises a guiding surface (2), in aid of the guiding surface, at least some gas deflects into direction of each opening from the main flow direction.
