Abstract

A baking-free multiporous granulating slag filtering material is made through adopting the following steps that: treated granulating slag, cement and pore-forming agent are taken as raw materials and are mixed evenly according to a certain proportion; then, water is sprinkled to make the mixed raw materials into balls; during maintaining process, appropriate temperature, humidity and maintaining time are maintained so as to generate the filtering material. The baking-free multiporous granulating slag filtering material has a rough and multiporous surface, and is propitious to the adhesion andthe growth of microorganism in a biological filter; meanwhile, the filtering material has ideal adsorbability and excellent effect when used as a filler of an aeration biological filter during sewagetreatment. Moreover, the baking-free multiporous granulating slag filtering material and a preparation method thereof do not need to adopt sintering process and do not consume energy resources such as coal and electric powder, thereby according with the current state environmental protection policy for energy conservation and discharge reduction.
