[0020] The diversity receivers described herein can be used in various wireless communication systems, eg, CDMA systems, TDMA systems, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) systems, Orthogonal FDMA (OFDMA) systems, and so on. W-CDMA and GSM are described in documents promulgated by an organization named "3rd Generation Partnership Project" (3GPP). cdma2000 is described in a document promulgated by an organization named "3rd Generation Partnership Project 2" (3GPP2). 3GPP and 3GPP2 documents are publicly available.
