Abstract

The invention discloses a redundant cooling system and a running method thereof. The cooling system comprises a plurality of fans which are arranged in series; each fan moves between at least a first position and a second position relatively to a hub; the resistance force of the fan vane at the first position on the fluid flow which flows through the cooling system is less than that at the second position on the fluid flow which flows through the cooling system; the redundant cooling system is characterized in that when the rotation speed is lower than the prearranged rotation speed, all the fan vanes are kept at the first position; when the rotation speed is higher than the prearranged rotation speed, all the fan vanes moves from the first position to the second position by using centrifugal force generated when the fan vane rotates. The invention also relates to the corresponding running method of the cooling system. The redundant cooling system and the running method of the invention have the advantages that the fluid resistance force can be reduced to be extremely low and the running method can be realized by an extremely single type.
