Abstract

The invention discloses a method for notifying a terminal of a demodulation reference signal mode in an LTE (Long-Term Evolution) system. A base station notifies the terminal of the demodulation reference signal when the base station detects that the terminal needs to be notified of the demodulation reference signal, thus improving the uplink demodulation adaptation ability of the LTE system. The method comprises the following steps: when the base station detects that the terminal needs to be notified of the demodulation reference signal, the base station sets the terminal demodulation reference signal mode of the terminal in a physical layer/data link layer control channel, and transmits the information of the physical layer/data link layer control channel to the terminal.
