Abstract

The invention discloses a method for accessing network. When an network element supporting the routing is accessed into the network through an access point, the method comprises the following steps: a MR-BS chooses a new access point for the network element; the MR-BS obtains needed special ranging information when the network element is accessed into the new access point; the MR-BS provides the information of the selected new access point and the obtained special ranging information for the network element to enable the network element to carry out the original ranging process accessing the network through the new access point by utilizing the special ranging information, wherein the special ranging information can comprise a special ranging code and a special ranging time slot. The invention also discloses a MR-BS. The method disclosed in the invention can reduce time lapse caused by the confliction between the network element and other network elements during the routing choosing process when the network element is accessed into the network.
