Abstract

In an outdoor unit of an air conditioner, the inner part of machine casing is divided into a heat exchange chamber and a machine chamber by a partition plate. A reinforcing plate is adhibited on the partition plate. The liquid accumulator is installed on the partition plate through the reinforcing plate. The back surface of partition plate and reinforcing plate are fixed on the tube plate of heat exchanger together. The electrical installation box is provided with a first supporting plate which extends on the partition plate with a width approximately same to that of partition plate and supports the substrate of heat exchanger at the side of machine chamber. The back surface of the first supporting place can be temporarily fixed on the rib of tube place of heat exchanger at a state that the upper surface of partition plate loads the first supporting plate. Furthermore, the heat exchanger which is formed by curving a plurality of laminated finned tube type heat exchange parts and is formed with a step part at one end is provided in the machine casing. A guiding plate which guides the external air into the step part is also provided in the machine casing.
