The invention discloses a method for establishing an optical automatic exchanging network route and a device thereof. In the method, a network management system issues route relationship group information to an operation node of a control plane that charges for route calculation, the route relationship group contains operation connection of the operation node, other operation connection connected with the operation having route relationship, and route relationship group mark, pre-calculating result is need to be confirmed mutually in calculating route among the nodes for avoiding conflict. When the operation nodes originates operation requirement, the method includes: the operation nodes calculates the operation route; the operation nodes sends a configuration information of the route to the operation node connected with other operation of the route relationship group for requiring confirmation whether establishing the route; when the operation node connected with other operation returns a confirm information that can establish route, the operation node establishes the route. The invention can increase operation viability of network, and manage route more flexible.
