Problems solved by technology

[0005] However, due to the portability of the display, consumers often carry the liquid crystal display to go out and frequently use it in public places.
When consumers read private letters or data in public places, it is inevitable that the private data will be leaked by outsiders

Please refer to FIGS. 1A and 1B at the same time. The viewing angle adjustable liquid crystal display 1000 of this embodiment includes an active element array substrate 200 , an opposite substrate 300 , a liquid crystal layer 400 and two polarizers 500 , 600 .

[0070] The active device array substrate 200 includes a substrate 210 and a plurality of scan lines 220 , a plurality of data lines 230 , a plurality of display pixel units 240 a and a plurality of control pixel units 240 b arranged on the substrate 210 . Each display pixel unit 240 a includes a first active element 242 , a display pixel electrode 244 , and each control pixel unit 240 b includes a second active elemen...

[0088] 5 is a top view of an active element array substrate of a viewing angle adjustable liquid crystal display according to a second embodiment of the present invention. This embodiment is substantially the same as the first embodiment, and the same or similar symbols as the first embodiment represent the same or similar elements. Please refer to FIG. 5 , the difference between this embodiment and the first embodiment is that in the active element array substrate 200 of the first embodiment, each control pixel unit 240b is configured with a second active element 246 . Therefore, the brightness seen by the pixel unit 240b can be individually switched and controlled when viewed obliquely. However, in this embodiment, the control pixel electrode 248' of each control pixel unit 240b' is connected to the control element 246' adjacent to the display area 200a of the active element array substrate 200'. The control element 246' may be an active element such as a thin film transist...

Abstract

The invention discloses a liquid crystal display with an adjustable visual angle. The liquid crystal display comprises an active element array baseplate, an opposite baseplate and a liquid crystal layer. The active element array baseplate is provided with a plurality of pixel display units and pixel control units. Each pixel display unit comprises a first active element, a pixel display electrode and a first region division structure. The first active element is in electric connection with the pixel display electrode. The inside of each pixel control unit is provided with a pixel control electrode and a second region division structure. The control element is in electric connection with the pixel control electrode. The opposite baseplate is arranged on the active element array baseplate. The liquid crystal layer is arranged between the active element array baseplate and the opposite baseplate; and the phase retardation amount of the liquid crystal layer on the pixel display units is less than the phase retardation amount of the liquid crystal layer on the pixel control units.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display panel, and in particular to a view angle controllable liquid crystal display panel. Background technique [0002] The substantial progress of the multimedia society is mostly benefited from breakthroughs in semiconductor components or display devices. As far as display devices are concerned, thin film transistor liquid crystal displays (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display, TFT-LCD) with superior characteristics such as high image quality, good space utilization efficiency, low power consumption, and no radiation have gradually become the mainstream of the market. [0003] The appearance requirements of the consumer market for liquid crystal displays are stylish and light, thin, short, and small for easy portability. In addition, the performance requirements for liquid crystal displays are towards high contrast (high contrastratio), no gray scale inversion (no gray scale inversion), low ...
