Abstract

The present invention provides a mobile terminal session quick switching method based on session initiation protocol. In the method, the strength threshold of signal is firstly set. At the state that the wireless network is generated with sub-network switching, the adjacent access point is researched once the signal of present wireless access point fades below the threshold. If a new wireless access point obtains the requirement of accessing, a new wireless interface and a new wireless access point are used for calling under the precondition that the original calling between the original wireless interface and present wireless access point is reserved. After the new wireless interface is configured, the original wireless interface is released and the original calling is ended. The invention can effectively reduce or even eliminate the session interruption time when the node moves through minimum changing to the existing SIP protocol, and guarantees the real-time updating of position state of mobile node.
