Embodiment Construction

[0023] figure 1 A perspective view obliquely seen from below of a refrigerator according to a first embodiment of the invention is shown. The refrigerator has a body unit 1 to which doors 4, 5 are connected to two side walls 2, 3, respectively. The body unit 1 has an associated interior space 7 . The flat frame 6 extends around the periphery of the inner space 7 on the front side of the body unit 1 .

[0024] Each of the doors 4, 5 has on its rear side a frame-like peripheral magnetic seal 8 which is oriented towards the body unit 1 when the door is in the closed position. A vertical bar 9 is pivotally connected to the narrower door 4 of the two doors. The strip 9 has a guide groove 10 on the upper and lower end faces, respectively. The guide groove 10 is provided in such a way that when the door 4 swings from the position shown in the figure to the closed position and abuts on the frame 6, the guide pins 11 provided at the upper and lower parts of the body unit 1 protrude...

Abstract

Disclosed is a refrigerator comprising a carcass (1) and a couple of doors (4, 5) which are hinged to opposite sides (2, 3) of the carcass (1) and jointly delimit a first interior (7). A first door (4) of said couple of doors (4, 5) supports a bar (9) that engages into the interior (7) in the closed position of the first door (4), is provided with a contact surface (12) against which a rear side of the second door (5) rests in the closed position of both doors (4, 5), and is fitted with an electrical heating device (17). A supply contact (25) is attached to a housing of an interior light (22), said housing being mounted on the carcass (1). The supply contact (25), via which an electrical supply circuit of the electrical heating device (17) is conducted, is galvanically connected to a complementary contact (26) of the first door (4) when the first door (4) is closed.

Description

Background technique [0001] Single door refrigerators generally have a body unit comprising a front frame, and a door, with a peripheral seal provided on the rear side of the door, which, in the closed position, fits snugly on the frame and seals the interior space. In the case of multi-door refrigerators, the doors attached on opposite sides of the body unit close the same interior space, and a similar sealing effect can be achieved if the opening of the frame is divided in half by strips so that each door can completely cover the Partial opening. However, this solution has generally been found to be unsatisfactory since the fixed strips prevent access to the interior space. Therefore, there have been proposed double door refrigerators in which a strip is mounted on the first door and when the first door is in the closed position the strip cooperates with the frame of the body unit in such a way that the second door The sealing structure may fit snugly on the frame or stri...
