Abstract

The invention relates to a Chinese painting & calligraphy color layering analysis method based on machine learning. The method is characterized by: conducting color classification of pixel level on image samples of the same type and establishing a group of prior knowledge about color sets; using the prior knowledge to conduct layering based on the color sets on images; chromatographing the semantic information contained in the images on all the color layers by taking all image regions as carriers; realizing the segmented extraction of all factors of the images, and the steps include: 1) obtaining the color prior knowledge of digital images; 2) using a machine learning method to establish an original color description model of color layering; 3) obtaining a color description model by feedback learning of the original color description model; and 4) using the color description model to conduct color layering on the input painting and calligraphy digital images. The method lays a foundation for realizing the segmented extraction of factors of Chinese painting and calligraphy works such as skill and technique, classification, compositional sketch, themes, even artistic conception and other intermediate and high level semantics.
