Abstract

The invention relates to a rotary printing machine including: a continuous print tape (12) of material to be printed, at least one printing unit (6) designed to print on the print tape (12), and a cutting device (10) designed to cut the print tape (12) with the printing unit (6). The machine also includes a traction device (8) located downstream of the printing unit (6) that is located furthest downstream and upstream of the cutting device (10). The traction device (8) is designed to apply a pre-determined mechanical strain on the print tape (12) leaving the most downstream printing unit (6). The print tape (12) comprises a band of coated paper. The invention is suitable for magazine printing presses.
