Abstract

The invention relates to a video system and a scaler which can reduce the complexity of a circuit. The video system comprises a decoder and the scaler, wherein the decoder tracks a video signal to generate a synchronizing signal and a frequency drift signal, decodes the video signal and outputs a decoding signal according to the synchronizing signal. The scaler generates a frequency control signal according to the frequency drift signal, generates an output clock signal according to the frequency control signal and a scaling signal according to the decoding signal and outputs a display signal according to the scaling signal and the output clock signal.
