Embodiment Construction

[0041] The Figure examples are schematic. It should be noted that similar or identical elements are provided with the same reference signs or with reference signs differing only by the first digit of the corresponding reference sign.

[0042] Figure 1a A connecting element 100 of a first embodiment of the invention is shown. Figure 1a The connection element 100 is shown in its initial state before being connected to the actuator.

[0043] According to the embodiment described herein, the connecting element is a nut 100 with an axis of symmetry 101 . The nut 100 includes a body 102 formed around an axis of symmetry 101 . A central opening 104 is formed in the body 102 . A side wall 103 substantially in the shape of a side surface of a cylinder, delimits a central opening 104 . The outer side of the nut 100 is hexagonal so that the nut 100 can be turned by means of, for example, a suitable open end wrench.

[0044] The nut 100 also has a first interface 110 . as will be r...

Abstract

It is described a coupling element or connecting an actuator (150) to a valve (170). The coupling element (100) comprises a first interface (110), which is adapted to mechanically connect the couplingelement (100) to the actuator (150), a second interface (120), which is adapted to mechanically connect the coupling element (100) to the valve (170), and a deformable portion (130), which is shapedin such a manner, that, as a result of a compression along an axial direction (101) of the coupling element (100), the deformable portion (130) irreversibly bends such that a projection (130a) is formed. Thereby, the projection (130a) is adapted to permanently engage with an annular groove (154) being formed at the actuator (150) such that the coupling element (100) and the actuator (150) are connected with each other in a non-detachable but rotatable manner. It is further described an actuator system and a valve system both comprising the described coupling element (100). Further, a method for connecting a coupling element (100) to an actuator (150) is described.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of actuator-controlled valves and the mechanical connection between valves and valve-controlled actuators. In particular, the invention relates to connection elements for connecting an actuator to a valve. Further, the invention relates to an actuator system for controlling a valve, wherein the actuator system comprises the described connecting element, and to a valve system comprising a valve and the described actuator system. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for connecting a connecting element to an actuator. Background technique [0002] It is well known to regulate the temperature of a room in a building by means of an actuator connected to a valve controlling the flow rate through the interior of the radiator. Usually, the corresponding flow medium is hot water. When hot water flows through the radiator, it transfers thermal energy to the radiator. [0003] In particular, for controlli...
