The invention relates to a medicinal composition for treating nevus flammeus and a preparation method thereof, wherein extraction and purification of hypericin are completed by the steps of (a) carrying out crude extraction, (b) refining by macroporous resin and (c) carrying out separation and purification; and the obtained hypericin is mixed with a medicinal carrier in a certain proportion to prepare the medicinal composition.
