The module is provided with a light guide plate having a light entry side and a light exit side which is vertical to the light entry side, and a linear light source which is adjacent to the light entry side of the light guide plate for irradiating the light entry side and comprises mutually interlaced linearly arranged first wavelength light-emitting diodes and second wavelength light-emitting diodes, wherein the wavelength of the first wavelength light-emitting diode is different from the wavelength of the second wavelength light-emitting diode and the lights form white light beam after being mixed. The module further comprises at least two light complementary color areas at the end or around the side light-emitting diodes so as to uniformly mix the light at the end of the light-emitting diodes. The light complementary color areas complement white light to the end light-emitting diodes. The backlight module having a light complementary color area of the invention can uniformly mix the light beam at the end of the light source.
