Abstract

The invention discloses an image matching method based on a cyclic blocking phase correlation method. The method comprises the following steps: using one or more of matched point pairs on the image as the seed point pair(s), and matching the eight domain inner points by using the cyclic blocking phase correlation method; and using the matched points as the seed points, and matching the eight domain inner points until all the points in the image are matched, thereby realizing point-by-point matching of the image. The invention increases the matching success rate and automation degree of the matching algorithm. The method can be used for obtaining correct matching results for flat regions, rugged regions and regions with broken textures, except for the regions which seriously lack in textures or have severe barriers. The overall matching precision rate of the method is obviously superior to the publicly known optimal correlation coefficient method in the basic matching methods.
