Embodiment 1

[0094] "Verification of hydroxyl radicals"

[0095] Magnesium oxide (MgO) powder was put into 0.1 mol / liter of sodium hydroxide (NaOH) aqueous solution to react. Next, it was reacted in APF reagent (reagent for detecting active oxygen), and the generation of a large amount of hydroxyl radicals (·OH) was confirmed by confirming the presence or absence of hydroxyl radicals (·OH) and quantifying the calibration line.

Embodiment 2

[0096] "Verification of hydroxyl radicals"

[0097] Put magnesium oxide (MgO) powder into sodium hydroxide (NaOH) aqueous solution 0.1 mol / liter, then add alcohol and POBN. Hydroxyl radicals react with alcohol to form hydroxyethyl radicals, supplemented with POBN, and measured by ESR (electron spin resonance). The typical peak pattern showing the generation of hydroxyl radicals will be detected on the ESR.

Embodiment 3

[0098] "Verification of reaction by mineral powder coexisting with reaction source"

[0099] Verification of the generation of hydroxyl radicals (·OH) from mineral powders where metal oxides and hydroxides coexist.

[0100] As a sampling of mineral powders where metal oxides and hydroxides coexist, double salts containing calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate (Ca·Mg·(CO 3 ) 2 ) samples obtained from the calcination and processing of dolomite ore. Dolomite ore produces completely different processed products depending on the processing conditions (heating rate, airflow conditions (presence or absence of airflow, airflow velocity, etc.)).

[0101] Therefore, the experiment predicts from the generation mechanism of hydroxyl radicals (·OH) that the treatment of calcined products has a significant effect on the generation of calcium carbonate (CaCO 3 ), calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH) 2 ) and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH) 1~2 ) and the operating conditions of magnesium oxide (MgO...

Abstract

Disclosed is a novel hydroxy radical generation method which relies on a novel scientific fact relating to the generation of a hydroxy radical and the inactivation of a virus. Also disclosed is an anti-viral material produced by utilizing the method. The anti-viral material comprises a metal oxide powder and a hydroxide which enable the generation of a hydroxy radical that can inactivate a virus. An virus can be inactivated by the action of the hydroxy radical generated from the anti-viral material.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a method for efficiently generating hydroxyl radicals and an antiviral material for reliably and obviously inactivating viruses by utilizing the hydroxyl radicals generated by the method. Background technique [0002] The hydroxyl radical is represented by ·OH, is a radical formed from hydroxide, and is a type of radical called a so-called active oxygen. Because hydroxyl radicals have strong reaction ability and strong oxidation ability in active oxygen, they can react with proteins, lipids, sugars, nucleic acids (DNA, RNA), etc., especially to make lipids oxidize in a chain. [0003] Using the properties of such hydroxyl radicals, various methods of purifying harmful organic substances contained in the air and water are being studied. Here, as a method for generating hydroxyl radicals, there are known Fenton reactions (reactions in which hydrogen peroxide and divalent iron ions react under acidic conditions to generat...
