The remote concentrated meter reading system is characterized in that: the software comprises an automatic meter reading module, a data automatic storage module, a prepayment calculation module, a basic parameter setting module, a remote switch-on / off module and a broadcast check module; the remote switch-on / off module is used for performing remote switch-on / off control on defaulting users; the broadcast check module is used for maintaining time standards of all the electricity meters in a system consistent with that of a personal computer (PC); and after the time is corrected, clocks in the electricity meters do not need the intervention of the PC any more.
