Abstract

The embodiment of the invention provides a carrier wave processing method and user equipment. The method comprises the following steps: respectively starting a timer for each carrier wave which enters into an activated state in aggregated carrier waves; and detecting whether the carrier waves of the started timers receive data within the timing time of the corresponding timers, and if no, carrying out de-activation processing on the carrier waves. In the embodiment of the invention, the user equipment can respectively start the timers for the activated carrier waves, if the carrier waves do not receive any data within the timing time of the timers, de-activation processing is carried out on the carrier waves, thereby avoiding that the carrier waves are in an activated state all the time under the condition that the data is not received by the carrier waves, thus the power consumption of the user equipment (UE) is reduced.
