Abstract

The invention provides a method, device and system for communicating with a single board. The method mainly comprises the steps of receiving an intelligent platform management protocol IPMI (Intelligent Platform Management Interface) command from a network management server, which is transmitted by a BMC (Baseboard Management Controller), through a physical channel; interpreting the IPMI command by using an IPMI interpreter; removing IPMI protocol-related information included in the IPMI command to obtain an executing command; executing the executing command under the control of an operation system of the single board to obtain an executing result; and transmitting the executing result to the BMC through the physical channel. By using the invention, an out-of-band management channel independent of a business application network (such as an IP (Internet Protocol) network) is realized between the network management server and the operation system of the single board; and by using the out-of-band management channel, the business of the single board can be managed.
