The invention discloses a method for preventing website access congestion. The method comprises the following steps that: (1) a website system sets a service area, access requests entering the service area obtains a Web access service, and the access requests not entering the service area form a waiting queue according to a requesting time sequence; and (2) the system checks the current capacity of the service area, and if the current capacity is less than a service area threshold value, allows the access requests in the waiting queue to sequentially enter the service area until the capacity of the service area reaches the service area threshold value.
