Abstract

The invention discloses a unified information retrieval intelligent agent system and a method, which are used for a search engine and are capable of flexibly configuring retrieval strategies for structured data and unstructured data. The system is used for providing different retrieval strategies for different pieces of data by constructing an information retrieval intelligent agent, and is correspondingly provided with an analysis module, an indexing module and a retrieval module. The search engine carries out different scheduling during indexing and retrieval according to configuration of the intelligent agent, so the search engine can be customized. The intelligent agent system comprises an intelligent agent mapping file, an intelligent agent configuration module, an intelligent agent indexing scheduling module and an intelligent agent retrieval scheduling module. The invention has the advantages that: different pieces of user data or different retrieval rules can be configured and embodied in the intelligent agent by using the unified information retrieval intelligent agent, so the other modules of the system are not influenced.
