Abstract

The invention provides an infrared data association system and a method for operating an infrared data association (IrDA) module in the same. The IrDA system comprises the IrDA module, a controller and a clamping circuit, wherein the IrDA module is provided with a dormancy end and a data end; the controller is connected to the dormancy end and the data end; and the clamping circuit detects the logic level of the dormancy end, and clamps the data end at a first logic level in a signal invalid period when the logic level of the dormancy end is transited.
