The route exchange equipment is connected with bi-layer exchange equipment, the route exchange equipment which support balance group is configured with mapping relationship between message HASH valve and VLAN ID, the bi-layer exchange equipment is configured with VLAN transmitting table item. The method comprises the steps as follows: after receiving the message, the route exchange equipment which supports load balance group calculates HASH value of the message, and according to the mapping relationship between the message HASH value and the VLAN ID configured thereon, acquires the VLAN ID corresponding to the HASH value of the message; the route exchange equipment adds the acquired VLAN ID to the message, and transmits the message to the bi-layer exchange equipment so that the bi-layer exchange equipment transmits the message according to the VLAN transmitting table item configured thereon and the VLAN ID in the message. By using the method, the problem that the HASH value of message information calculated by the balance group cannot be effectively utilized by the subsequent equipment can be solved.
