[0032] The single FIGURE shows a schematic diagram of a pipe connection device 1 for connecting two pipes 2 , 3 of a motor vehicle (not shown). The pipes 2 , 3 can be, for example, exhaust pipes of an exhaust system of a motor vehicle or intake pipes of an intake duct of an internal combustion engine of a motor vehicle.

[0033] In the case of the pipes 2, 3 as exhaust pipes of the exhaust, it is proposed that the pipe 3 faces the internal combustion engine (not shown) and the pipe 2 faces the outlet of the exhaust.

[0034] The pipe connecting device 1 has a connecting element 6 via which the pipes 2 , 3 can be connected to one another at the ends. For this purpose, the pipe 2 has a thread 4 which can engage with a mating thread 5 of the connection element 6 .

[0035] The tube 3 has a protrusion 10 protruding outwards on one side, which is preferably formed over the entire circumference of the tube 3 . This projection 10 is preferably formed at the end section of the tube ...

Abstract

A pipe connection (1) is provided for connecting pipes of a motor vehicle, particularly exhaust pipes for an exhaust system or intake pipes for the intake tract of a combustion engine, with two pipes(2, 3) to be connected to each other. It is provided that at least one of the pipes (2, 3) has a thread (4) which can be brought into engagement with a mating thread (5) of a connecting element (6) of the pipe connection (1) to be connected to the other pipe (3). An exhaust system is provided for a motor vehicle and an air intake system is provided for a motor vehicle and a motor vehicle.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a pipe connection device for connecting automobile pipes, especially an exhaust pipe of an exhaust device or an intake pipe of an intake channel of an internal combustion engine. The invention also relates to an exhaust device and an air intake system for a motor vehicle. Furthermore, the invention relates to a motor vehicle. Background technique [0002] Pipe connections of the type described here are used, for example, in motor vehicles for connecting exhaust pipes of vehicle exhaust systems. The exhaust pipes are usually connected to each other by flanges. For this purpose, a flange is welded on the end side of each exhaust pipe. These flanges are connected to each other by means of bolts, usually with sealing rings interposed. Another common way to join exhaust pipes is to weld the exhaust pipes directly to each other. [0003] In new developments of motor vehicles, it is attempted to design the vehicle as light as pos...
