An electronic patent file analysis method is applied to data processing equipment, and includes the steps: analyzing a downloaded electronic patent file by the aid of a regular expression stored in the data processing equipment so as to acquire patent information in the electronic patent file; when the electronic patent file is unsuccessfully analyzed, utilizing keywords stored in the data processing equipment to inquire in the electronic file so as to acquire patent information corresponding to the keywords; generating a regular expression according to the acquired patent information and replacement rules stored in the data processing equipment; and transmitting the generated regular expression to a client computer connected with the data processing equipment.
