The dandruff-removing medicinal composition comprises the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 120-160 percent of peruvian bark, 80-120 percent of whorlleaf stonecrop herb, 90-130 percent of root-bark of ditlany, 80-120 percent of Chinese arborvitae twig, 110-150 percent of lightyellow sophora root and 60-80 percent of giant knotweed. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: extracting a Chinese arborvitae twig percolate with ethanol; extracting an emulsified concentrated solution of the percolate at a low temperature; preparing a decoction of other components; filtering the decoction and combining; and adding purified water or concentrating till the total amount is 10 kilograms to obtain the dandruff-removing medicinal composition. The dandruff-removing medicinal composition is taken as an adding component of a washing substance for washing hair, has a remarkable dandruff-removing effect, is free from toxic and side effects, is made of readily-available raw materials, and is suitable for popularizing and applying.
