Abstract

Provided are a node structure description and propagation method for a heterogeneous wireless network. The method describes the structure of each node through a structural vector and a structural matrix, and diffuses once when accessing a network through the structural vector to allow each node to learn the structural information about all of the network nodes, thereby efficiently and accurately describing the structural characteristics of a heterogeneous wireless network and nodes. The method is utilized to calculate the heterogeneous network measures, which can be used as a standard for judging the degree of difficulty of heterogeneous networking, so as to guide the design and protocol implementation of a heterogeneous network and improve the overall networking efficiency. After the structural characteristics of a heterogeneous network are acquired by means of the method, the routing protocol only needs to periodically inform node communication information and no longer of informs of node structural information; and accordingly, a highly efficient routing strategy based on structural description can be designed, and the overhead of routing information is greatly reduced.
