Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a device for designing a back plate of a synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) optical fiber transmission system. The device comprises a central cross connection unit, the back plate and a plurality of sub-disks, wherein the central cross connection unit comprises first processing units; the quantity of the first processing units is equal to that of the sub-disks; each first processing unit comprises a first coding sub-unit, a first clock and data recovery sub-unit and a first decoding sub-unit; each sub-disk comprises a second processing unit; and each second processing unit comprises a second coding sub-unit, a second clock and data recovery sub-unit and a second decoding sub-unit. By adoption of the method and the device for designing the back plate of the SDH optical fiber transmission system, a clock bus is eliminated, design of the back plate is simplified, and the stability of a high-speed back plate of the SDH optical fiber transmission system is improved.
