The invention discloses a sterilizing composition containing benthiavalicarb isopropyl. Effective active ingredients consist of a first active ingredient which is the benthiavalicarb isopropyl and a second active ingredient which is famoxadone or fenamidone; the weight ratio of the first active ingredient to the second active ingredient is 1:15 to 10:1, preferably 1:10 to 5:1. The composition can be prepared into water dispersible granule, wettable powder and suspending agent allowable in agriculture. The composition has the advantages of reasonable ingredients, good sterilizing effect and low drug cost; the activity and the sterilizing effect of the composition are not simple addition of the activities of various ingredients; compared with existing single preparations, the composition has a significant synergistic effect besides the significant sterilizing effect; the composition does not pollute crops and has good security, thereby according with safety demands of pesticide preparations; the composition has significant prevention and cure effects for downy mildew, pestilence, powdery mildew and rust disease of the crops.
