Oomycota or oomycetes (/ˌoʊəˈmaɪsiːts/) form a distinct phylogenetic lineage of fungus-like eukaryotic microorganisms. They are filamentous, microscopic, absorptive organisms that reproduce both sexually and asexually. Sexual reproduction of an oospore is the result of contact between hyphae of a male antheridia and female oogonia; this spore can overwinter and is known as a resting spore. Asexual reproduction is the formation of chlamydospore and sporangia producing zoospores. Oomycetes occupy both saprophytic and pathogenic lifestyles, and include some of the most notorious pathogens of plants, causing devastating diseases such as late blight of potato and sudden oak death. One oomycete, the mycoparasite Pythium oligandrum, is used for biocontrol, attacking plant pathogenic fungi. The oomycetes are also often referred to as water molds (or water moulds), although the water-preferring nature which led to that name is not true of most species, which are terrestrial pathogens. The Oomycota have a very sparse fossil record. A possible oomycete has been described from Cretaceous amber.

The invention relates to an antagonist bacterium which can overcome or eliminate a hot pepper epidemic disease and produced microbial organic fertilizer thereof, belonging to an intensive agriculture production technology. By the invention, an antagonist bacterium (Bacillus pumilus NJLZ-8) which has an obvious antagonist function on pathogenic oomycetes of the hot pepper continuous cropping epidemic disease is separated; the antagonist bacterium is mixed with organic fertilizer to prepare microbial organic fertilizer; and the fertilizer contains more than 1*108 antagonist microorganisms per gram, 4-5 percent of total nitrogen ( more than 90 percent of organic nitrogen), 6-10 percent of total nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium nutrients and 30-35 percent of organic matter. Proved by tests, the microbial organic fertilizer can rapidly breed antagonist bacteria after being applied into soil, form a preponderant group in the soil and has more than 80 percent of biological preventing and treating rate on the hot pepper epidemic disease in the soil with serious hot pepper epidemic disease. The generation of the hot pepper epidemic disease can be prevented to a large extent by applying the microbial organic fertilizer on the soil without forming continuous cropping obstacles for a long time.

The invention relates to a pesticide, and especially relates to a complex bactericide composed of bacillus subtilis and a chemical bactericide. The bactericide is used for controlling brassica rapa pekinensis downy mildew. The bactericide comprises the chemical bactericide, bacillus subtilis XM16 CGMCC No.0372, and auxiliary materials. The bactericide is characterized in that the chemical bactericide in the active components is any one selected from metalaxyl, propamocarb, and mancozeb. A biocontrol bacterium is bacillus subtilis XM16, with the strain collection number of CGMCC No.0372. A weight ratio of metalaxyl to bacillus subtilis XM16 is 1-8:1-10. A weight ratio of propamocarb to bacillus subtilis XM16 is 1-10:15-140. A weight ratio of mancozeb to bacillus subtilis XM16 is 1-15:1-10. A form of the bactericide is usually hydrophilic powder or aqueous solution. The complex agent of the biocontrol bacterium and the chemical bactericide has a substantial synergetic effect in controlling brassica rapa pekinensis downy mildew. The biocontrol bacterium bacillus subtilis XM16 is advantaged in high bacteriostatic activity, high stress resistance, and wide bactericidal spectrum. The biocontrol bacterium is complexed with the oomycetes chemical bactericide, such that the pesticide dosage is reduced, and controlling effect is improved. The bactericidal composition contains the active ingredients to be the pyrazole-kresoxim-methyl and the thiram, the weight ratio of which are 1:40-40:1 and the weight percentages are 1%-90%; and the bactericidal composition can be prepared into wettable powder, water dispersible granules, a suspending agent, aqueous emulsion, micro-emulsion, or other formulations. The bactericidal composition at least contains a carrier and an accessory ingredient, wherein at least one is a surface active agent which can be an emulsifier, a dispersant, a humectant or a penetrant.
