Abstract

The invention discloses a timing synchronization method of an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) power line carrier communication system in a power line channel. The method comprises the following steps: calculating a cross-correlation value corr of a preamble sequence of a receiving end signal of the power line carrier communication system and a signal transmitted from a receiving end to the receiving end; successively searching the cross-correlation value corr of each receiving end signal on the receiving end of the power line carrier communication system, and determining the positions of the two foremost preamble sequences; on the basis of finding the positions of the two foremost preamble sequences, calculating time delay correlation values xdelay(1) and xdelay(2) of the positions corresponding to the two preamble sequences, determining whether the following condition is met: if the condition is met, the timing synchronization is correct, determining windowing position of timing synchronization, otherwise the synchronization is determined to be false synchronization; and continuing to search synchronous state.
